Final Steps

Once the tax return has gone through the quality review process, assemble the return and ensure that all necessary documentation is complete.

If the taxpayer has chosen not to use a Self-Select PIN, obtain the taxpayer's signature on Form 8879. If the return is a joint return, make sure both signatures are included on the form, otherwise the return will not be electronically transmitted.
