After the electronic return has been signed, perform the following steps in the tax software:

  • Run diagnostics on the return
  • Create the e-file
  • Verify that the SIDN appears in the Paid Preparer Use Only section of the return
Tip

Let taxpayers know they will not receive a tax package from the IRS next year, since they e-filed.

Print the return or follow your local procedures and give it to the designated quality reviewer.
