The Office of Governmental Liaison improves tax administration by establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with government agencies at the federal, state and local level. Each state has an IRS Governmental Liaison.

Governmental Liaisons may be contacted with questions regarding partnering programs between the IRS and federal, state and local governments. Congressional offices may also contact Governmental Liaisons.
