IRS Accessible Tax Forms (in Braille and Text Formats)

These files contain accessible versions of IRS Tax Forms. They are for reference only and cannot be submitted to the IRS in this format. Each form has been compressed to a WinZip (.ZIP) format. Each .ZIP file contains two items: a form in text-only format and a form in .brf format for Braille embossing. The form and corresponding instructions have been combined. Text-only files can be used easily with screen enlargers, screen readers, refreshable Braille displays and most other accessibility software. The IRS has made over 300 tax forms and instructions available in Braille and text formats.

To download a product:

Use the list below to select the appropriate product. Once you select the product, a dialog box will appear and allow you to save the file to your computer. Click "Save"
Select the location where you would like the file saved.
A "Save As" dialog box will display. Click "Save"
The .brf and .txt files will display in the WinZip box. Locate the WinZip file on your computer and double click on the icon to open.
Highlight the file(s) and click "Extract" from the WinZip toolbar or use the keyboard command SHIFT+E.
Select the location where you would like the file saved and Click "Extract" then close the WinZip box.
To view the products you downloaded, navigate to where you extracted the files on your computer and double click to open.

Some products contain multiple text-only and .brf files to accommodate size.
