Chart C - Other Situations When You Must File

After using the other charts, review Chart C for all individuals to see if there are any remaining conditions that require them to file a return, such as:

• Special taxes
• Self-employment income of a certain amount

Taxpayers who received the 2008 first-time homebuyer credit are required to file a return to repay a portion of the credit.
