All taxpayers who use VITA/TCE services should be confident they are receiving accurate return preparation and quality service.

This lesson guides you through the intake and interview process, and enables you to:

• Conduct a thorough and effective interview using Form 13614-C, Intake/Interview & Quality Review Sheet
• Learn probing techniques discussed in Publication 4012, Volunteer Resource Guide
• Develop a relationship with the taxpayer that will allow you to accomplish the two items above

You will use these skills to gather necessary information during the tax preparation process to prepare a complete and accurate tax return.
