Standard Mileage

Standard mileage rates for 2011:

• Business-related mileage: the standard mileage rate for the cost of operating a car, van, or pickup/panel truck for business use is:
  • 51 cents per mile from January 1, 2011, through June 30, 2011, and
  • 55.5 cents per mile from July 1, 2011, through December 31, 2011
• Medical and move-related mileage: the standard mileage rate for the cost of operating a vehicle for medical reasons or as part of a deductible move is:
  • 19 cents per mile from January 1, 2011, through June 30, 2011, and
  • 23.5 cents per mile from July 1, 2011, through December 31, 2011
• Charitable-related mileage: the standard mileage rate for the cost of operating a vehicle for charitable purposes remains at 14 cents per mile
