Tips and Guidance for Estimating Credit Amount

In order to estimate your credit amount, we will ask you a series of questions. Here are some tips for answering the questions.

• First, determine your eligibility for the EITC and the number, if any, of qualifying children you have before estimating your credit amount.
• You will need to know the amount and types of income that you received during 2007 and any adjustments to that income.
• The result from this tool is just an estimate. The more accurate the values you provide the more accurate the results.
• Allow approximately 10-15 minutes to complete this tool.
