2005 Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) - Should I Apply?
Start Here: Am I Eligible?
Determine if you are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit. Your eligibility depends on such factors as your filing status, income level, and the number of qualifying children you have, if any. This tool will not only determine your eligibility, but can also determine your filing status, and the number of your qualifying children, and it can estimate your credit amount.
How Much is My Credit?
If you already know that you are eligible for the credit for this tax year, this tool will estimate your credit amount. You will need to know the amount and types of income that you will receive for 2005 and any adjustments to that income. You should use actual amounts if you have them available. The program will assist you by prompting you for the amounts needed. If you are a victim of Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita or Hurricane Wilma you can use this tool to estimate your credit amount using your 2005 earned income, or your prior year earned income option.
NOTE: The information you provide is anonymous and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility. It will not be shared, stored or used in any other way, nor can it be used to identify the individual who enters it. The information is discarded when you exit this program.
